Hanging in there

Hubby and I managed to get through last night. The nights are the hardest, just knowing his not safe and sound in his own bed. I know he is fine and having the time of his life. But we are counting the hours for him to come home. One more night to go!

Loosening the apron strings

My husband and I have been told many times by friends and family that we should do as the title suggests. Not where we're concerned! But unfortuately we are left with no choice and this Wednesday will be a true test for the both of us.
My son is now in year 4 and going on his first school camp. He will be away for two nights!!! OMG, he has never even spent one night away from us in his entire life (that's nine years).

Anyway, he is so excited about going, this makes it easier on us. He will have such a great time. Yesterday we went shopping to get everything he needs and I could see the excitement on his face, he's so precious.

The house won't be the same without him for a few days.

When we pick him up on Friday it just so happens to be our wedding anniversay (11 years) so the three of us will be having a lovely dinner together at Nathan's choice of restaurant. He will have sooo much to tell us. I can't wait until Friday :-), he will be home again!

Moving along nicely

INBA Nationals '06

I haven't really updated in a long time, so here goes!

Training: I am still training hard, with lots of intensity. Dads programs are nothing short of awesome and tailored too my needs. Because of this I have had some amazing improvements in the areas that really needed them. But as a bonus I have also improved everywhere else. These programs are very demanding but I really enjoy the challenge.

Cardio: I am on a completely different schedule this comp prep compared to last year. I am only doing 25 minutes of high intensity cardio a night. I have been finding this alot better then twice a day!

Nutrition: Spot on here. It seems so much easier this time around (yes Lia, you told me so ;-), and you are spot on). At the moment I am experiencing a phase where I have lots of energy, hope it lasts a while.

Physique: As I mentioned I have made some fantastic improvements and am coming in well. My body fat is good for where im at. I had my first comp prep skin folds last Wednesday and was happy with the results as was JD.

Posing: I don't really want to talk about this lol. No, it's not that bad, I don't think lol. As mentioned I need to comply with the WNBF posing requirements and am finding it strange to re-train myself. I am getting there and feel it will only be a good thing at the end of the day as I will know many different ways of posing. Always look on the bright side of life!

Being less than 6 weeks out now I am feeling excited but also nervous, I think I will always feel nervous, it's just me :-).

My Great News!

Last night I was offered a sponsorship through Physical Evolution http://www.physical-evolution.com.au

This has obviously made me very happy and excited.

I have been buying my supplements from Physical Evolution for quite some time now and couldn't be happier to have entered into this partnership. Evan (the owner) has been so wonderful in suppling me with supplements that he didn't even have listed on his site. He truely offers everyone great advice and at a fantastic price.

I have been wanting to do reviews on some of the supplements I have taken or am still taking but never had the insentive to do so before, so stay tuned, the supp queen will be around soon :-).

7 weeks out

Oh boy, only 7 weeks to go! Im getting excited about it all. I have practising my new posing that is required for the WNBF as all competitors need to be posing the same way. At first I freaked out (as I do lol), but then realised that this makes the competition fair. So it's all good.

A trip to see Jo Rogers is definately on the cards ;-)

My training has been very intense, but nothing I can't handle, infact im enjoying it alot and the results are very noticable.
My BF is dropping steadily now which is what I want. Loosing it too fast is exactly what I don't what, not at the risk of loosing hard earned muscle or at the risk of peaking to early.

Last week I caught some kind of 24 hour stomach bug which knocked me around big time. My blood pressure has been low and after a day of this bug my body just couldn't cope. For the first time I actually fainted. Lucky my boys were at home with the bug also as I fell in my hubby arms. Very scary feeling, the worst. I sleep for most of that day. But the strangest part of it all is that I woke up the next morning feeling fantastic, so I hit the gym for a mad session lol.

Im better now. :-)

This comp prep has been easier in some ways and harder in others. I think it may be the time of the year in which I am finding it harder. Summer comp prep brings heat, which causes my blood pressure to drop even more. Heat and diet makes me feel very light headed. Does anyone know a way I can increase my blood pressure? I try to keep cool but I love the heat and I get so cold as soon as I turn on the A/C. I have cut back on salt too. Let me know if you have any ideas :-)

Nutrition is awesome, I am finding it easy. I wish I had this discipline all the time. On Saturday night we went to Pancakes in Paradise for dessert. It didn't even bother me to sit there and watch my little guy and hubby eating delicious fluffy pancakes while I sipped on my Earl Grey tea. I didn't even flinch! But I will go back in May ;-)

My physique has changed, I can't even believe how much it has changed myself, very freaky lol. I look forward to the next few weeks as the BF melts away, generally from here on in it will be awesome to see the big improvements from week to week.
